Eliza turns 3

Eliza turned 3 last Thursday. She was very excited to turn 3. Mostly because her friends are turning 3 and she gets to go to the 3 year old class at school (one day, when they have an opening). For her birthday, she and I made cupcakes in different colors for her to take to school. When we walked in to her classroom, all of her little friends said happy birthday to her and she kept saying "it's my birthday not yours."

When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner, she said: marshmellow cereal and then changed it to pancakes. So after school, we came home and had pancakes and cupcakes. We gave her presents. She got 3 books, and a weebles house. I was afraid she might be too old for the weebles house but she loves it. I forgot to wrap her presents so I wrapped the books in blankets and hid the weebles all over the house like an easter egg hunt. She loved finding the weebles.

After opening gifts, she wanted to watch Wonder Woman. So daddy and her watched an "episoda" as she calls them.

At 3 years old Eliza:
- talks A LOT. I mean, non stop. She asks LOTS of questions. "Is the Sun hot? Will the police man get you if I don't put on my seatbelt? Where is Wonder Woman right now?" etc.
- is sweet. She is sweet to her sister and tells her it will be ok when she cries. She is sweet to her friends. She never gets in trouble at school. Not one time has she ever gotten a 'note' home from school. Her teachers always say that she was good today. Last week, when I picked her up from school she had a sad face on and immediately began crying when I walked into the room. One of her teachers said that she "didn't have on her listening ears" and they had fussed on her. It has hurt her feelings. They gave her hugs before she left school, and she has been listening good ever since.
- is currently obsessed with Wonder Woman. She has never been interested in TV or movies. She has never really watched anything. But she LOVES to watch the Justice League cartoon episodes with Wonder Woman. Her favorite episode has Wonder Woman's mommy. She always tells me that Wonder Woman and Hawk Girl are the in watch tower, and she walks around singing "Wonder Woman" and occasionally sings "Wonder Woman's Mommy!" It is pretty cute.
- She still loves to read and books are her favorite toys.
- She loves the playground, slides, and swings.
- She remembers EVERYTHING. We have to watch what we tell her now. She still asks me about her "GG" (great grandmother) who passed away last fall. She didn't see her very often and she was only 2 + a few months but she remembers that GG was in the hospital laying down and that she is now in Heaven. She listens when you least expect it. For example, when you're talking on the phone she listens to your conversations and repeats things or asks questions about what you said.
- She pays attention when we drive places and says this is how we get to church or SuperDeb's house or school.
- She is bossy. She is a little mommy in her classroom. She reminds mommy and daddy that we have to share her. We have to share who picks her up from school, and who puts her to bed.
- She is smart, sweet, and caring. Everything I could hope for in my sweet girl.

We can't wait to see what she does next.



I have seen several "birthday interviews" and I decided to do one with her this year. We asked her these questions and this is what we got:

What is your least favorite thing to eat? Pete (This is a game they play in church nursery called "Don't eat Pete")
What is your favorite thing to do? Ride a little horsey.
What is your favorite tv show? Wonder Woman.
What are you really good at? Wonder Woman.
What is your favorite movie? Wonder Woman.
What is your favorite color? Pink (this has changed from blue.)
What is your favorite song? Itsy Bitsy Spider.
Who is your best friend? Katerina and Nicole.
What do you and your mom do together? Make cupcakes and crafts
What do you and your dad do together? Watch Wonder Woman and another Wonder Woman and another Wonder Woman.
What is your favorite sport? Softball.
Where is your favorite place to go? To the store and playground.
What is your favorite book? Corduroy
What do you want to be when you grow up? Go to the 3 year old class.
