Cute Picture

My sister in law took this picture and I stole it off of her facebook because it is cute.

This is Eliza and her cousin Sophie.

I love how Eliza is looking at her like she thinks she is the coolest thing ever.

I think Sophie may have a little shadow following her around one day.

What's Up Doc?

I have never been to the doctor so much in my entire life (that I remember) until Eliza came along. I think the week she was born we went to the doctor every other day. First, it was a check-up, then shots, then a weird belly button, then a check on her kidney, her brain, another check-up and so on. It's a lot of visits for a healthy little girl.

If you remember Eliza was born with a dilated kidney that they found in utero. Ever since she was born she has had to take antibiotics to prevent any urinary tract infections. Last Friday, we went to the urologist and they did an ultrasound on her kidney to see how it looks. We had prayed that she would be better. I didn't want her to have to have surgery or to take medicine anymore.

So we went to the doctor and they did the ultrasound while she tried to eat the paper on the table. Turns out my prayers were answered. On a scale of 0 (being perfectly fine) to 4 (being the worst) she is now at a 1! She use to be a 4! Even the doctor was a little surprised at the improvment.

We were so excited.

So she is getting better. She doesn't have to take the medicine anymore. She just has to go back in a year so they can check on her again. By then she will probably be at a 0. Looks like as she is growing the problem is fixing itself. Yay.

I really love these kind of doctor's appointments.

I REALLY love answered prayers.

I REALLY love my baby.

7 months

Eliza turned 7 months on 1/6/2011. It is so hard for me to believe how big she is getting. It seems like just yesterday she was a teeny tiny thing screaming her head off constantly. We love her so.

At 7 months she:
- has 3 bottom teeth, 1 top tooth and 2 more top teeth on the way.
- says "da da da" and sounds like she is telling you something important when babbling.
- smiles a lot but still only laughs rarely.
- can sit and play with her toys or bounce in her jumperoo for a while.
- LOVES the dog.
- Is a little more patient when she wants something instead of screaming.
- Will do tummy time for a while.
- leans really far over to get to something but won't try to crawl yet.
- really likes sweet potatoes.
We love her with all of our hearts and are so glad that she is here with us.

Post Christmas Photo Shoot

As a girl I feel that I am allowed to be a little bit crazy. (Atleast I am self-aware right?) As I mentioned I didn't get a good picture of Eliza on Christmas. So a week later I dressed her in her Christmas outfit and she had a photo shoot with one of her favorite Christmas toys.

She wanted to show off her new purse. It comes with everything a girl needs: liptstick, money, bracelet, keys, mirror, and it even sings her songs.
They keys are especially handy for cutting teeth on. And everytime she plays with her purse, her mom gives her a $1 allowance! This was exciting at first but she is starting to get a little greedy and recently asked for a raise.

But then she realized she doesn't need a raise because she looks like a million bucks. And I think she is priceless.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning we had our christmas at home just the 3 of us. It was so fun to spend time with each other and see Eliza explore. Although the dog enjoyed her new toys more than Eliza enjoyed her new toys. She liked the bows and paper. But it was really fun.

Showing Eliza an ornament in our matching P.J.s ...

The stocking my sister helped me make for Eliza. I also made Kase's so don't make too much fun of it....

Eliza and her bow....
Kase and his cufflinks that look like movie reels....

Eliza's new blanket that I like too much and I am afraid to use it cause I don't want to get it dirty. ha ha.
After that we headed over to Kase's parents house to celebrate some more....
We had homemade pizzas of all different kinds....
Eliza found some more bows that she liked......We loved watching everyone open their gifts especially the neices and nephew. We loved visiting and playing games. I don't have any pictures because we brought a camera that Kase borrowed and I apparently don't know how to use it because the pictures were all too dark. Which is why I dressed Eliza up in her Christmas outfit for a photo shoot a week later because all the pictures I took of her on actual Christmas were not good. Sorry little baby. (those pictures are coming soon.) But we did have a lot of fun on Christmas.

Happy New Year

It is the new year. 1-1-11 and I am glad to have a fresh start. 2010 was so good to me and brought us our sweet Eliza.

We found out on Thursday the results from her EEG were completely normal. She is just a little beautiful weirdo. We are still going to meet with a neurologist just to see if they have any insight about why she does her pose, but it is not seisures and that is wonderful. We are so relieved and so blessed.

She is also beating the crap out of RSV. She is a tough one.

We love our little weirdo.

Oh did I mention Eliza is cutting 3 of her top teeth. All at the same time. Awesome.

Happy New Year to everyone. Hope this year is even better than the last.
