Shopping

So this is the new purse that I bought. I found it on etsy. The seller finds wool coats at thrift stores, tears them apart, and makes them into awesome bags! It totally rocks. You can find her here.

Cowboys and Indians

I love fall. It is my favorite season. There are many reasons: the changing colors of the leaves, the crisp air, Halloween, the upcoming holidays, and fall clothes!

I also love all the fun activities that fall brings: camping without all the bugs and humidity, campfires, smores, hot chocolate, trick-r-treating, pumpkins, pumpkin patches, pumpkin carving, and well... I know there is more but I can't think right now. Oh yes. Fall colors. All the warm tones, Reds, Oranges, Yellows, and Browns. I love it.

We've been too busy with school to do much of the fun fall activities but last weekend we did build a fire in our fire pit on the deck. We roasted marshmellows and made smores.

Last night we went to our church's trunk-r-treat (or is it trunk-n-treat? I'm not sure) I was an indian (the native american kind) and k-dawg was my cowboy:

Isn't he cute?

Yes I do realize I look extremely pale, but hey, it goes with the whole halloween scariness thing right?

Also here are my niece and nephew. Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. They are cute:

I would post pictures of the other cute kids like the wizard of oz family or the elephant and cow, but well... that takes way too long. Anyways It has been a good week so far.

Happy Fall Ya'll!!! (no I don't really say Ya'll but it rhymes)

Special K is funny

Dear Special K (aka my husband),
There are many reasons that I love you. You are sweet to me. You take care of me. We have fun together. You open the car door for me all the time. I like that. One of my favorite things that you do is:

You make me laugh.

Even when you don't mean to.
Example: Saturday I made special treats for the kids at church. They're all alergic to something so I had to think of something easy and that wouldn't make one of the kids stop breathing. Later that night....

you: I hope none of the kids are allergic to corn (very seriously)
Me: Why? (very confused look on my face)
you: Well, the treats that you made are made with puffed corn. (still serious)
Me: ummmmmmm noooooo they are RICE CRISPIE TREATS made out of RICE not corn. (starting to laugh).
you: ohhh yeahhh.

I love it when you have stupid moments, they are the funniest of all.

Love, your smart wife

P.S. Should i tell the story about the raisenettes being vegetables? Maybe not. Maybe we should go over the food groups instead. See right now I'm laughing again!!! Look what you do.

P.S.S. I love you soooo much!!!!

Life

This weekend was nice. Friday we watched my bro-in-law play one of his last high school football games. As I watched him, I thought about being in high school. It was fun. Socializing on breaks from class, picking out new clothes, the first taste of freedom after getting my driver's license. My only worries were what to wear the next day and what to do on the weekend. It was fun while it lasted, but eventually I was ready to move on.

Sunday was the primary program. All of the little children sang for the ward and were incredibly cute doing so. I thought about how fun it was to be a kid. All the games and wonderment and questions that needed asking. Nothing to worry about except how many games I could fit in before going to sleep. Those were the days.... Really though, I wouldn't want to go back. It was fun while it lasted, but eventually I was ready to move on.

People always ask me when we are going to have children. I love kids. They are fun to be around and to play with. They just make me smile. I believe that families are the most important thing and I do want kids. Right now, my husband and I are working and going to school. We work all day, and go to school at night. When we get home we work on homework, watch tv, talk, relax, and do whatever we want. On the weekends we sleep in, shop, or go to late night movies on a whim. We wait till the last minute to work on school projects. I don't have anything serious to worry about. It has been fun while it is lasting, but I'm NOT READY TO MOVE ON. Not yet.

When I get there, I am sure I will know it.
