My Secret Love

There are lots of things that I love: Kase, My family, My dog, Chocolate, the smell of clean laundry, etc. They are things that most people understand and probably like as well. But there is one thing I love that, well, not everyone understands. That is my car, also known as Jeep (no fancy nickname here. Sorry):

keep in mind this is not the most flattering picture of Jeep. Ok maybe it is.

Jeep is an older car. It has an exhaust leak and smells kindof funny. Jeep is kindof loud and when I drive Jeep on the interstate I can barely hear anything. It rattles and bangs and has an oil leak. Yes another one...... Somewhere. This causes jeep to not be allowed to park in our garage for fear of ruining the floor. Jeep's paint is peeling off. The headlights are dim so I can't really see when another car with brighter headlights is coming in my direction because they blind me. There is a cigarette burn in Jeep's back seat from the previous owner and everytime I have a child in my car I get questioned about this. There is a dent in the side from when Jeep ran into the yellow pole at the institute building, but really who doesn't have one of those dents? The driver's seat cussion isn't so cushy anymore. The antena is stuck in the up position and it doesnt' pick up the radio very well. Jeep's cd player overheats so I have to give it a break on road trips. The steering wheel is crooked.

And well.... I love Jeep.

Jeep is economical. Even though it breaks down every few months, and I cry, and it is kindof a pain, it's still cheaper than a car payment.

Jeep is helpful in tough situations. Once, a school bus broke down in front of me blocking the whole road. Then the car behind me ran into the ditch blocking the road behind me. I got to use Jeep's 4 wheel drive to get around them and make it safely to work!

Jeep keeps me comfy. The engine heats up really fast so I have instant heat in the winter. Also, the driver's seat is worn out BUT it is practically molded to me. It's like those fancy memory foam mattresses that they advertise that mold to your body. Yup. It's a fancy memory seat. Courtesy of Jeep.

Jeep is worry(ish) free. I don't have to worry about anyone scratching Jeep when I park in a scary lot for work. The scratch would just blend in.

Jeep is thoughtful and considerate. Sometimes, when I am at a red light, one of those people with the really loud stereo pulls up beside me and they think they are going to make me listen to their aweful music (you know who I am talking about). Well, the joke is on them because Jeep masks the noise and I don't hear a thing! Ha!

Jeep is a time saver (if you don't include the time spent at the car repair shop). It practically changes it's own oil. (Atleast that is what I tell myself. Dad, I know, I am going to get the oil changed. Don't worry. I would never let down Jeep (or you.))

So I love Jeep. Jeep gets me where I need to go. People keep telling me that it is time for a new car. But I don't want to think about it. Well, I do actually like thinking about it because new cars are fun. However, the car payment, is not so fun. But I am still not getting rid of Jeep. Afterall, Jeep is my friend. We're pretty tight. Hopefully, we still have plenty of time/drives to spend together.

P.S. Currently Jeep is an only car. (like an only child except not as spoiled). We are thinking about getting Jeep a brother or a sister car. (NOT A REPLACEMENT) Any suggestions? We have been eyeballing the Saturn Vue, but well.... we're not sure.

Our Trip

Where to begin? Vacation was wonderful. So wonderful, it wore me out and gave me a cold that I am still recovering from. But it was totally worth it. To blog about it, I feel like I need a list.

-2.5 days Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. 4 days Magic Kingdom/Hollywood Studios/Animal Kingdom/Epcot (all Disney incase you didn't know).
- Weather: 75ish everyday. Sunny.
- Crowds: not too bad.
- Islands of Ad. makes me a little motion sick. Spiderman was fun. Oh and Dr. Suess' land.
- I kissed Scooby dooby doo. (relax, kase knows about it)
- I met Mr. and Ms. Woody Woodpecker.
- Universal Studios was cool. Favorites: ET, Twister, Terminator, Jaws. Mostly everything.
- Pizza good.
- Nascar Cafe hamburgers even better.
- Lady scared me at the makeup show with fake monster arm. Not funny.
- Kase drove me all over looking for an icecream place that wasn't falsly advertising banana splits.
- Our hotel was very nice.
- Caravaned down to FL with Kase's parents who were on their way to see the Dolphins play in Miami.
- Dueling dragons make me feel icky.
- Dudley dooright made us drenched in water.
- Space mountain super fun.
- Sci-Fi dine in theater= Burger+Shake+drive in movie+ old fiftys car+ free glowindark cup of popcorn
- "It's a bugs life" 3d show has special effects and wasps come and "sting" you in your chair. kase thought the lady behind him poked him in the back. haha.
- Epcot is actually funner than others might think.
- Morocco, not a great Epcot country to eat at. nope.
- Hollywood Studios(use to be MGM) is one of my favorites.
- The new toy story ride was super fun.
- Kase loved tower of terror.
- Spent evenings going to dinner together and relaxing at the hotel.
- Got sick on our last day and had to lay in bed all day. But it wasn't so bad.
- Coming home is bitter sweet.
To sum it up. Vacation was fun. We got to enjoy the parks and get everything done pretty quickly and the weather was great. It was fun to hear Kase laugh like a little kid on some of the rides. Ok now he's embarrassed. I better stop. It's good to be home though. I missed the Monster.
