The Gang

'K', 'PS', Eliza and 'PE'

In Eliza's daycare class there are 4 kiddos. They are all June 2010 babies. The three girls live two houses down from each other and the 1 boy lives about 5 minutes away. None of us even knew that we lived next to each other for the first few weeks of daycare time.

We try to get together so they kids can play and so us parents can hang out. Friday we all met at Big Ed's Pizza in Oak Ridge for dinner. It was yummy and the kids entertained each other. I love when Eliza recognizes her friends and waves at them. She even kissed one of them on the mouth. She is a loving little girl.

We had a fun time. I hope Eliza is able to keep in touch with these friends as they all grow up.

On Friday, Eliza also got to spend some time with her Aunt Holly. Eliza is very lucky to have so many people who love her.

Best thing about Saturday: Eliza was ready to go to bed so I leaned her down to Kase so she could give him kisses and she spit up all over his face. It was awesome. I love that kid. ha ha.

Baby Shower Numero Dos aka Family Family Shower

My wonderful sister-in-laws, Angela and Katie, threw me a baby shower. It was so much fun and so nice to spend time with family.

Food:

Family:

Kase's Cousin Reagan

Melanie & Holly

Cousin Nikki

Niece Sophie

Laura & Holly

Before Kase was born, they thought he would be a girl. His grandmother had bought some dresses for Girl Kase and mailed them to his mother. Since he wasn't a girl, he obviously didn't want to wear such cute little dresses. So his mother stored these dresses away for the future..... She passed these cute dresses onto our sweet little daughter.

Baby Shower Numero Uno aka Church Family Shower

My friend at church, Lea Ann, threw a sweet baby shower for me at her house. Several friends from church came and spoiled me and our little one.

Games: Everyone had to draw a baby on a piece of paper on top of their heads. Then I got to pick the best baby. I picked the one my mom drew. I didn't know it was her drawing. It was just the only baby with a cute face (and arms and legs).

Presents: Everyone was so nice and the baby got some really cute dresses and onesies. It was a really fun time.

Thank you!

The Video

This is the video Kase and his brothers and friend, Brad, made together for a contest. Why, do you ask?

Well, because any opportunity to show off Ryan's short shorts is a good one.

Because Brad is an awesome drummer, and lip singer... I mean back up vocalist.

Because Tommy looks like he could possible chop down a forest after rocking out.

Because Kase is an awesome director/editor and husband I might add.

Because Scott is carrying on the wayward son.

Because Kase's dad is in it and he cracks me up everytime I watch it.

Because I am in the video. For a split tiny instant half of a half of a half of a second. (Hint: the bar scene.)

Oh and because these boys rock. What else?

Pirate-Cowboys

I don't have anything exciting going on right now, but I feel like blogging. Yesterday was my parents anniversary. They have been married for 36 years! They have been a wonderful example to me and great parents. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!! Here's to 36 years more!!

Yesterday, I babysat a cute little 2 year old named Adam. Adam and I played Pirate-Cowboys. (A game like cowboys with guns, and a lot of "ARRRR"ing going on.) We also watched the movie Cars and ate Oranges, Bananas, and Pretzels in the shape of fish provided by Adam's mom. Delicious, but we weren't sure if that was authentic Pirate-Cowboy food. Ultimately, we decided that the food was good so we should eat it cause that is what Pirate-Cowboys would do. I was required to answer many questions and make funny sound effects. It was pretty fun.

My Peeps

This weekend was good. I didn't really do anything. Nothing. Nada. (Well, Kase did take me to a really delicious restaraunt, Amerigo, it was soooooooo good!!!) Friday, however, I did visit with a long-lost friend from high school. She called to say she was in town and so I dropped by where she was staying to say hello.
It was good to see her. We laughed about funny stories from long ago and discussed what has happened in our lives in the last few years. I had a few thoughts after our visit:
1. I have changed a lot. And as much as I hate change, I think it is good.
2. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life. It helps me know who I am and why I am here. It gives my life purpose and helps me know where I am going.
3. I don't think I have washed my car since I last saw my friend.... and that has been a while.
4. I love my husband soooo much. I am blessed to have someone who treats me so well.
5. I miss my friend. I need to keep in better touch with those friends I have lost track of over the years.
6. I need to make more friends. Life is so busy with work and school and it's hard to find time for friends, but I really should.
7. I appreciate people who are different from me. My friend was always, and still is, my complete opposite. It helps me see how others view the world, and I hope that it helps me to be more understanding of others.
8. I really love Taco Bell. (what? I was hungry when I left)
I had a good time visiting with my friend. Thanks for chatting and helping me think. Till we meet again...
